How this is worked out
The quiz scores each kit against your three answers: renting rules out anything that needs drilling, a balcony under six feet physically cannot take a two-panel kit, and an east or north-facing balcony shifts the weighting towards systems that cope with weak light or simply cost less.
Savings figures assume an unshaded mount at your state’s average electricity price. If your balcony is shaded, run it through the output estimator first — shade changes the answer more than kit choice does.
